Ok i know i said a zillion years ago that (well it feels like that lol) that i thought the food here was rotten, well i take it back and put my hands up - i was wrong - i really like the food here now, i think it was just a shock to the system at first but now i have found my way around and discovered a good butcher and fruit market to use, i am happy.

Almost......

well you must have known i'd still have a wee moan about something!!!

Ok it's the fruit especially - and the fact that all the good stuff is exported out of the country and we are left with all the rubbish stuff! and it really is rubbish, i've yet to taste out of this world mouthwatering fruit.

Anyone think the same???

Maybe it's a QLD thing, I get good stuff in SYD (maybe they export it South rather than out of the country), but I always thought QLD was "paradise for fruits" (the eating kind, not the other kind ).

Of course I couldn't expect everything would be alright, if everything in AU was fine and great then you couldn't be missing home too hard now could you?

Hi,

I know what you mean about the food. It's either too salty or too sweet. But you do get used to it in the end.

You have to shop around to find decent fruit and veg, but it is out there!
