Hi,

In my ACS application, I had been informed that my skills do not match with SOL1 and hence I would have to go for ACT State Sponsorship with 190 sub class visa.

I would like to know if this is a good option to choose? Is State Sponsorship a good option to be choosing?

Kindly advise.

Thanks and regards,

Hi,

It is ICT Support Engineer and I had been advised to go for ACT State Sponsorship for the same. The other alternative titles to this are Support Analyst and Support Architect.

I wanted to know if going for a Sponsorship to ACT is a good option?

Yes, I am aware that I would have to go through the 190 Sub Class Visa instead of a 189 now.

Regards,

@GSRB - I can vouch ACT is wise choice.

Hello All,

I am new to this forum, but I hv been following every individual post for quite a while.

First of all - I apologize with gsrb, for placing my question in your post. I hope my question will resolve few doubts regard to ACT SS

Wit my IELTS score (L-9, R-8, W-6, S-7) and skill set 261111, currenlty I am eligible only for ACT SS, but I awaiting NSW to upgrade the SNOL with 261111 skill set (Impending DIAC celling reset).

Third - I was about to submit EOI for ACT SS, my consultant said the following, I did scan the ACT SS website but I was unable to cite:

Funds For ACT. 20000AUD for single applicant and 10000AUD extra for each additional dependent.

All funds required as Liquid assets: Fixed deposits/Bank savings/shares/Mutual funds If the client cannot arrange the whole amount of funds as Liquid then he can produce at least half the funds as Liquid and for the remaining he can give an explanatory note stating how he would manage for two years in ACT with these insufficient resources.

Funds are to be maintained for at least 3 months by the time he /she can lodge an application for sponsorship and are to be maintained till he gets a sponsorship. Jewellary /Insurance policies cannot be considered.

All the funds should belong to Client or his spouse no parental or joint properties included.

Seniors/ Forumites - Is the above specified TRUE ? await for you response

Standard idiotic draft that agents send ..... Don't worry... All you need is a financial declaration and you can include all properties ... We did my wife's EOI & SS like that and will do mine the same way...

Don't fall for the $20,000 crap....

Thanks a lot Arvind. So $ 10K AUD would suffice for the entire family + house papers... this is manageable.

Your knowledge about this is in depth & your replies are prompt. Thanks for the help.

Desi, the reason why i suggested 10 k and filled 10 K for me is that you have a family of 3 and you pay 5 K as visa fees and 5 k for 3 months survival there
i am sure they might buy that we might sell property to live there.
it was not a must to declare. its just logical to put 10 K which i also entered. I havent taken any offense as well :) Cheers

Sahil, I have no clue about the requirements of SA as I haven't explored it and my knowledge is limited to ACT I suppose. That said, I still doubt that they will reject it. The intention is to ensure that if it took you 2-3 months to find a job, you would be able to sustain the struggle period and will not seek any wrong ways to earn... Honestly A$ 15,000 is loads of money so relax and I feel that you should sail through it ...

Well wishes...
