Default Health - diabetes

A specialist report has been requested by Immigration regarding type 2 diabetes diagnosed for both my wife and I but totally managed and controlled.. Does anyone know if this will be a problem?

Hi,

Welcome to the forum.

Have you had your medicals yet? I ask because you said that Immigration has asked for the specialist report, not the doctor doing the medicals.

You should have no problems at all.....it's just a precautionary measure. My husband had high blood pressure at his medical and the doctor asked for specialist reports on numerous things and ended up doing all sorts of tests (6 or 7 in all over a period of a month) and at the end of it he got the all clear....all he had to do was take tablets to keep his blood pressure under control. And that's the key....'under control'.

Now I know that hypertension and diabetes are different, but as with my husband because your diabetes is being controlled, and you have the medical letters/reports to back it up, you'll be fine.

Dolly
