Victoria:

I am really confused while searching for state sponsorship information on immigration and other websites.

I came to Australia in 2004. I completed my diploma of information technology from Victoria University of Technology and by june of this year i will complete my bachelors degree of information technology from University of Ballarat. My concern is that whether i would be able to apply for State Sponsorship for any state in australia. i have been told by some people that applications for State sponsorship are no longer accepted by any state now.

Is that true?
if it is, then how long it will be?
is there any other way to get permenent residency except getting 7 each in IELTS.

i am afraid whoever told you that state sponsorship isnt applicable now is wrong. Yes Tasmania isnt taking in any applications for now but all other states are taking in applications. all you need is your skill in their skill list.
why dont u go thru the eligibility criteria for all states, that will make things clear.
