hiya,

I am a nurse in rochdale and have just been allocated a case officer for our families visa.
I have no personal experience as yet but have done some research.
1) depending on which state you want to move to depends on which nursing body you have to be registered to. There is a natiol registration body called ANMC, but this one is expensive, it seems to me that you need to be registered where you are going to work. I am going on a subclass 176 visa ( permanent visa where you have to live in adelaide for 2 years). To be registered in south oz you go through the ANMC.
2)The registering body requires copious amounts of documentation, it took me a month atleast to get it together and recieve what i had asked for from the uk nmc. so crack on with the collating paper work coz most of it costs you nowt.
3)nurses get paid different amounts in different states, the general pay progression goes on time served rather than a grading system.
4) It would help if i knew you situatio- are you going alone?permanent? I have two nursing friends and myself - they are in oz already- we have all gone on different visas and have had very different experiences.
