Default Skilled sponsored regional (provisional) visa

Hi All,

I am applying for SKILLED SPONSORED REGIONAL (PROVISIONAL) VISA
SUBCLASS 475 (SA). I have been asked to answer the following four questions. The instruction says each answer should be at least 1500 words!

Has anyone been asked this?
Have you been granted a visa?
How could you give a 1500-word reply to a question when you only have 100 words of factual information?

And here are the questions:

* Please detail what sort of research you conducted & your understanding & your own analysis of the employment prospects & opportunities that may exist for you in South Australia

* What are the licensing & registration requirements for your nominated occupation of [Translator] including what ,if any ,further training you will require?

* what research have you undertaken of the job market in South Australia Outside of your nominated occupation? Detail what sort for research you conducted & your understanding & your own analysis of the other employment prospects and opportunities that may exist for you in south Australia.

* Are you investigating any self employment or small business opportunities ? if so ,please provide of details of the research you have undertaken regarding this.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi babak,

We went for a different visa so I can't personally help but I think that they are just trying to check what you know of the area that you've chosen.

I assume you had several states to choose from and they want to know why south Australia.

The changing economy is having an effect everywhere - even here.

Regards,
Karen

Hi there,

Sorry can't help you either as we came over on the old 139 Designated Area Sponsored visa.

I'm sure there will be someone on here who can answer your questions.

Dolly

We filled this questionnaire out. Don't let it scare you. They probably want to see if you are truly serious about living permanently in the state. They only have a certain number of visas to sponsor and would not want to waste one on a person who wants to move away after a permanent visa is granted in a few years.

Yes I've personally seen this. A couple of dentists from South Africa have done their time and are now off to NSW. They never had any intention of staying in a regional area which is a shame for us in the regions.

Okay I know I've biased since I love regional South Australia

Regards,
Karen

Default Regional South Australia questionnaire

I love SA too. We filled out the form over 1 1/2 years ago and don't worry. It only took 1 month to hear back from them with a sponsorship. We are still waiting for our Visa though.

If you have not already visited SA, be sure to make the trip. Also, look into your job prospects on-line. There are several job recruitment companies out there. Visit Jobs.com.au - Jobs Australia and other sites and type in your current job title to see if there is a demand for your field there. Be sure to list this research in your letter. Also, mention your long term plans. Eventually, we want to purchase land in McLaren Vale or Barossa and start a bed and breakfast/cellar door/vineyard.

Good luck.

Smile SA provisional Visa

My question is ? if someone is applying as SRS 475 Provisional Visa, they dont need to provide a commitment letter or answer these questions of future settlement in South Australia, Provisional Visa is not a permanent settlement visa it allows you to work in SA for 3 years and if u wish to settle permanent then u can apply! it isnt like that correct me if i am wrong?

thanks
Saj
