Hi, I have some questions regarding ACS skills assessment and points that I can get for a 189/190 visa.
Before I ask my questions, let me explain my background first.

I am going to apply for ACS skills assessment soon so I can lodge an EOI for 189/190 visa. I believe I can use either PYP or work experience in Australia for the skills assessment. I also believe that my application type for it would be Post Australian Study Skills Assessment.
Here are my questions.
If I use PYP for the skills assessment, will I be able to count both work experience in Australia and PYP to get 5 points each (in total 10 points) for a 189 or 190 visa?

According to an ACS document (w w w.acs.org.au/content/dam/acs/acs-skills/Summary%20of%20Criteria%20-%202017.pdf Remove white spaces between w w w.acs...), I think I can count both PY and work exp to get 10 points in total if my application type is Post Australian Study Skills Assessment regardless which one (PYP or work exp) is used for the skills assessment (No work experience will be deducted by the skills assessment, and thus it will be eligible for migration points test).
However, when I talked a visa agent, he said that my work experience will not be eligible for the points test if I use PYP for the skills assessment. He said that I can count work experience after the end date of PYP. Since I started working before I finished PYP, I cannot claim that I have 1 year work exp.
Another visa agent from different visa agency said the same thing... but this is not mentioned in the ACS document above.
I wonder ACS deducts work experience used for the skills assessment. I'm not sure exactly how it works for Post Australian Study Skills Assessment.
I would appreciate if you give me details of the assessment and how things work.
Thank you
Koji
