I have a job offer but waiting for 175 visa...what are my options?

Hi - I have found this site incredibly helpful...thanks to all. I have a question...I have applied for a 175 and have plently of points but am stuck in the backlog...I have a job offer doing my specified skill but they won't wait forever...has anyone had any luck getting a visa fast-tracked if a job offer with a time limit exists or is my only option getting the company to sponsor me on a 457 in the meantime?

Congrats for getting job.Are you in IT? I am have been trying through seek.com.au to get a job offer but no success in spite of having great experience in MODL skill.Any advise for job hunting?

I was lucky enough to meet people who live in sydney on recent trip to the US and they forwarded my resume on to people at their company and I got interviews then an offer. good luck! I am in accounting and so are the girls I met.

I will probarly be in the same situation as you, i have applied for my 175 and have been offered a job they will wait 9 months so i could be lucky! I HAVE LOOKED INTO IT AND THE EASIEST option i can see is for you to get your company to sponser you on a temp 457 visa asap go out on that and wait for your 175 to be granted, you will have to leave the country (NZ/FIJI etc) and re enter to validate your 175 though but hey a nice few days holiday wont go amiss!!!
