Hi Mas,

Welcome to the forum.

I believe that the website for the ACS has the info that you require:
Australian Computer Society - Skills Assessment

Karen

For the ACS, you will need to ensure that you meet the requirements, especially the academic requirements of having an equivalent of an Australian bachelor degree in IT.

With only 4 years of experience, you need to ensure that your degree is equated to an Australian bachelor degree in IT, otherwise you will be refused.

See Ptlabs Consulting - ACS/RPL in addition to the link and advice already given above.

Regards
Peter

Hi mas

u hv got enough of info from what i read. i wil thro light on wut all u need for the acs application. though all these are there in my previous posts, best wud be to search fr them but u need to arrange for all ur papers related to ur qualification, ur work experience. certificates for both, which support ur cv, a detailed (and wen i say detailed, it has to talk of everything tht u do and everything tht u know and ur company details, company hierarchy, where u stand etc), all certificate which u wil feel r not relevant (performance based), appraisal letters, promotion letters, offer letters, everything tht u can gather. ur birth certificate, passport copies, reference letters from employers, previous and current, reference letters from co-employees & managers with respective visiting cards, all mark sheets (educational), all courses that you have done for IT (for eg MCSE-though not relevant in ur case but my husband did microsoft certification courses, he anyway attached the transcripts and certificates etc). basically ur life from ur birth till date has to be presented in form of papers.

Ask if i got any more questions.

Cheers

and ofcourse, if u want to encash on some job profile, u wil hv to hv worked on it for last 12 months. thts wut wil giv u the extra points. what u hv done in the past for sure makes ur case stronger but it does not get u the extra modl points if u r not currently working on it.
this is as far as my knowledge goes. someone correct me if i am wrong pls

In form 1119 (its the information booklet from DIAC for General skilled Migrants) it says for MODL points you have to prove that "you have been employed in that skilled occupation or a closely related skilled occupation for a period totaling at least 12 months in the 48 months immediately before lodging your application. "

Hi,

Anj has given you some insight into the paper work that you need to gather before you apply for visa.

The link for the imp post that she was reffering to is:
Need ur Urgent Help.....

I also planning to apply for the same visa but waiting for 4 years to complete, so till then I am in process of collection of all the required docs.

Thanks,
Pankaj

passport copy is a must, birth certificate, if added is good, if you do not add, doesnt matter, but remember more is good.. the more u add, the better, in the end, it is for your good.. if they feel the piece of paper has no relevance, they will simply throw it considering it junk
