Default My visa options to go to Australia

Hi...I finished my tertiary education in Australia back in 2010 and worked 2 years here in Kuwait as a system administrator cum helpdesk. What are my visa options to go back to Australia at this point? Is a 457 visa possible to get from websites such as seek.com?

You wont get a 457 by gaining an offer of employment on a help desk.

What are your qualifications? Your Aus study would help you only gain points towards a skilled independent PR visa.

What is your actual job title and what is it that you actually do? You need to match it to an occupation on the SOL and find out who the skills assessing authority is for that occupation.

Skilled Occupation Lists (Formerly Known as Form 1121i)

You then need to see if you would actually pass a skills assessment for that occupation with the qualifications and work experience you have.

I got an ACS approval letter back in 2010 as an ICT Business Analyst(261111) after I finished my degree. I had a window of 6 months to apply for permanent residency but I didn't because of personal reasons. That was my last shot for the 175 visa. I came back to Kuwait and the last 2 years I have not been working as an ICT Business Analyst. My job is more technical as a system administrator for windows servers along with help desk duties. The ACS for 261111 will expire in about 10 days as it has a validity of 2 years.

So unless you already have completed all the other perquisites to apply you need to renew your ACS, sit IELTS, apply for state sponsorship and then make an EOI and wait for an invitation.

Hi mate,

You can try. I've read a few successful applicant. Do a search in SEEK for 457, you might be lucky. All the best, mate.
