Default Best option to contact CO

If a migration agent is handling your visa application, is it compulsory to go through them to contact CO or can you also directly approach the CO?

I had asked my migration agent to clarify with the CO why despite submission of all Police clearance certs for me and my spouse the status is still showing as required and they are reluctant to do so. Hence wanted to check if I can contact the CO directly?

If you have an agent you can not contact the CO unless you discharge your agent and inform DIAC of such by filling in the appropriate forms.

Your online status means nothing and you should not pay it much attention. I know of people granted visas with online status showing documents required. All it means is someone forgot to update it because they are busy processing visas.

That is true. I got the grant today while status of form 1221 is still 'Required' online.

Unfortunately only your migration agent can inquire on your behalf. DIAC will not respond to any of your queries directly. You need to go through the agent...

Congratulations aanchalk!
Sorry to ask a silly question. How is the grant sent? Via email or do you know about the the grant via the evisa tracking website?

Also how long did it take after you submitted all the additional docs requested by the CO? Thanks in advance.
