Default Visa Conditions in Australia

Hello, I am just wondering if anyone can help. I have applied for a job in Australia. They have come back to me and ask what Visa Conditions I will be under in Australia. I have not yet applied for a visa, so need to get my head around that first. I have looked every where for information, I am strugling! Just wondering if anyone has the answer. You are my only hope. Thanks in advance.

Dunc.

They have asked you that because they assume you have a visa. Did you let them know in your application that you do not have a visa and require sponsorship? Most companies are reluctant to sponsor due to the cost and time it takes and the facts many cant meet the requirements.

What is the job? And what are your skills and qualifications to do it?

Hello _shel

I saw the application on line, so all I did was send my CV and covering letter to the email address that was on the website. I have had an e mail back asking about a the visa situation and when would I like to relocate. I have been open with them and told them I have not yet applied for visa yet. The job that I applied for is a Plant Manager, I have the relevant qualification and experience. Where should I go from here. Thanks for your reply.

You need to tell them again you dont have a visa, but you are very interested in the position if they were able to sponsor you for a visa.
Temporary Business (Long Stay) - Standard Business Sponsorship (Subclass 457)

This is a temporary visa of up to 4 years. No guarantee of it becoming permanent but it could later if you qualify.

Some people also offer to pay all the costs of the visa if that is what is putting the employer off. Which more often than not the company would pay for.

Was it a company or agency offering the job?

That is unless you happen to be under 30 and qualify for a Working Holiday Visa?
Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417)

wow, Duncan1914 must have had one helluva kick ass resume for them to consider him for a plant manager position with no sort of visa whatsoever!

Indeed, and here's me saying how difficult it is to get visas from overseas. Which it is apart from the very very best applicants
