Default Taking a Car to Oz

Does anyone know how difficult it is to export a car to Oz.

Have got a Jeep to take out there, think this would go into a 40ft container along with the rest of my stuff from the house.

Has anyone else done this in the past. Reason I want to ship with my house stuff is because my wifes firm will be paying for the container for out house hold bits and would have me on the shipping costs.

Yes - just search on Mustang and you'll see my previous posts.

If we had known the hurdles we needed to go through we wouldn't have brought it with us but it's something of a rarity being a 1971 Ford Mustang.....

Check out Used Cars - New Cars - Search New & Used Cars For Sale - carsales.com.au and see how much it would be to replace it out here and then see how much it would cost you and see which one will be better for you.

Regards,
Karen

Thanks, can't find your story on the site. Have looked up the value of my car in oz simular ones are going for around $27000, just over £10000, I paid £5500 so does appear that they are more expensive other there, lower prices in the uk as its a 3.7 litre engine and due to the cost of fuel the market for 4x4 over here has dropped.

I did a search on Mustang and here is the link
Importing of a car

It mentions the costs that you have to consider and also that you need to check the regulations for the State that you are moving to.

Karen
