Default Medical test - X-ray scan

Hi,

I am planning on applying 176 visa for VIC SS next month. My wife will be the primary applicant. However, I have a small doubt if she becomes pregnant in between, it seems she won't be able to take the X-Ray scan as part of Medical test.
So, can I take an X-ray prior before the CO asks for the medical test? Will this test be considered valid?

Also, will this test report be given to us or will the doctor directly sent it CO?

shyam, if she becomes pregnant you have to inform DIAC while filling the 176 application. just for sake of x-ray you should not go for meds now. I am not sure if they will ask you to wait till delivery or will exempt her from getting x-ray.

yes, the report is confidential and is sent directly to Adelaide processing office in a sealed envelop or thro efacility online. This is to ensure that applicant with weak medial history don't tamper with the medical results which will have direct impact on outcome of their visa.

If you are planning a family now, yes go ahead adn get the meds done, once you get the Visa you will get less time to make your initial entry but if youa re ready to do it asap then go fr it, secondly, suggestion will be to have the child in AU so that the baby gets the citizenship and there are no complications, i.e. applying for a visa for the new born.

all the best
