Health and Police checks

Hi there.

Can anyone give me some idea of the costs involved with these checks please. I understand it can vary depending on where you are but just a ballpark figure so I can add it to my expenses list!!!

I think in the US an FBI check is $15 or $20, somewhere in that range. I didn't pay for any of mine, so I didn't pay attention. My company handed me forms, I filled in blanks, I signed, they took them away, they brought more.

Are you talking about the checks you have to get in your home country to prove that you are a suitable to live in Australia? The price of those would depend on the prices set by your local officials.

Hiya, our police checks were about a tenner each. It's sent to you on a piece of paper from your nearest headquarters police branch (ours was Strathclyde) and believe me there's no wow factor about it. We were like "is that it"? But then what do you expect for a tenner!!! As for the medical, we haven't reached that stage yet, but when my sister in law and hubby done theirs they paid £300 (i do hope that was £150 each!!!) If not what a killer ey!
