Visa costs

I've been given a price of $8000 aus for the state sponsored visa.

Does this look right ?

$8000, wow, what does that include? only the agent fee or does that include the visa application fee as well? It is on a higher side but I am not really aware of what agents charge these days. we paid $2,000 3 years back and the fee that time was $2250, the fee for assessment i think was $400.

Can you elaborate please?

ACS assessment : May 2008. Visa Application VE 175 : September 2008. State Sponsorship : September 2009. CO Allocated : 17th November 2010. Medicals and PCC submitted : 13th December 2010. Medicals for my Daughter : 22nd December 2010. All Documents Met : 31st December 2010 (except for meds for my daughter)

VISA GRANT 27th January 2011

Reached MELBOURNE on 16th June
