Default Trouble trying to pay for 176 online!!

Hi Guys;
I have been trying in vain for 2 days now..
I have the online application (176 visa) complete and wanna pay online.
the trouble is that my bank (HDFC) says that online debit transactions cannot exceed Rs 1 lac and my credit card limit is only Rs30,000.

so what can i do now if i still want to apply online?
is it possible to break up the payment of fees in 2 or 3 different transactions?

Unfortunately it has to be paid in one shot. I guess your only option is to find a trusted person who has a higher credit limit and will let you pay with his/her credit card and you pay him back.

either find someone with that kind of limit or one option is to speak to your bank (credit card), tell them you are willing to deposit the money to the account and they usually increase the limit for one time transaction.

I called up the credit dept and told them that i m ready to deposit the money before hand but still they refused. I called up the mumbai office and requested them but they didnt agree. What is the exact procedure for using a foreign credit card ? One of my friend in australia is ready to give his credit card. Is there a form 2 b filled up ? Or is it the normal way of plugging in the credit card number in the payment page ?

I called up 3 different offices ( ahmedabad , mumbai, delhi) . I told them that i can deposit the money before hand . But they did not agree. One of my friend in australia has agreed to give his credit card though so thats a big sigh of relief. What is the procedure to use a foreign credit card ? Is there a form to b filled up or i have to simply plug in the credit card details in the payment page? Or will he have to make the payment in australia itself ?

Hi Life is good,

I used my friends card who is in Australia.
There is no special procedure to use it , use it like ours.

Enter 16 digits
expire date
and 3 chars which on back of card.
Don't worry it works.
I did same.

Call me if still doubt.

Thanks
RakeshPatel
