I am planning to attend a training which is 33miles far from my place. (From Orange County to Chino)
Taxis are very expensive, so I really need to know the shortest public transport to get there.
I know the cheap taxi applications like Uber but I heard so many bad things about it, so I want to see if I can find a better way. Thanks so much.
Try Google Maps on the Web. Input the origin and destination addresses, select public transport, select your departure or arrival time, and you'll get available routings.
"Dumb" question(s): Isn't your employer paying to get you to your training course? Or, alternatively, providing lodging closer to the training facility?
33 miles is a normal one way commute for many. How does Op normally get to work? Share a ride with a coworker, rent a car, borrow a car, couch surf, ..... Will the employer reimburse the expenses?
Yeah, there's not much public transport in southern california. I would compare the price of renting a small car for 3 months if you can drive (and don't mind the traffic) or renting/living with roommates closer to your training course.
Use public transport--it'll be a lot cheaper. You can plan your route and see what buses & times are available here.
