Default Significance of California Sevice Center transfer ?

I entered the USA on June 20th with a K1 Visa, got married August 14th and applied for Adjustment of Status to Permanent Resident (Green Card) on August 26th.
I've just received a Notice of Action from DHS-USCIS stating that the case has been transferred to the California Service Center.
I'd be grateful if anyone can tell me if this is good or bad news or just another step in the bureaucratic process and how long am I likely to wait for the decision ?

They shuffle them around according to the workload and their crystal ball.Nobody can predict the wait. It could all be over in a month. Alternatively if your name suddenly pops up as America's most wanted or your file slips off someone's desk and gets lodged behind the filing cabinet, you could be stuck in the system for years.

It is usually good news as it means that your case will most likely be approved without a required interview. The wait can be hit or miss.

Nope, times have changed. I am sorry but you are wrong. Some people who come with a K-1 visa, are transferred to CSC and their AOS is being approved without an interview.

Actually thats been going on for a few years now ...I know who got their card with no interview ..its a shock to everybody ...I still cannot see any pattern to it ..it just seems totally random

I had though it might be older people ..but no it covered the spectrum of ages

a USCIS mystery
