New guy question ?

Hi all, I found this site while researching U.S work visa's, hope I posted in the right area.
My wife and I have been looking for work in the U.S for a few years now, offers have been made to both of us so far but never in the same Town or State at the same time. My wife being a PHD in Biomoleculear Science is now being interviewed for a high paying job that she really wants. My question is, with me being a Idustrial Electrician would I be able to look for and apply for work from her permit once down there and if not what would be the best way to go about getting a permit for me?

Your wife is the best bet. Many of the methods that would allow you to accompany her would not provide work authorization for you. Therefore, integral with your wife's negotiations with her future employer should be an understanding that the employer file asap for green cards so you would also be allowed to work. From some statuses, e.g. TN, the journey is strewn with landmines.
