Sorry in advance, you guys probably get SO many stupid questions on here... I've been searching for ages and I would like a flat out response, sans forums the net can be a bit eh faceless? haha

Anyway I'm 22 (soon to be 23) about to enter my final year at university, I'd love to make a move to the states... but am starting to think it's pretty impossible. I will answer yes to the following two questions, this time next year - the time in which I was thinking of moving:

* Do you have an academic degree?
* Are you a student or recent graduate in your home country?

The problem is my degree is not specifically very academic (it's events management with modules in corporate business, PR, event planning and health and safety)

Is this really just a pipe dream? Or is something with the above degree I'd legitimately be able to do?

Hey, you can always give it the old "college try." Fresh out of school, however, it's tough finding any job at all, particularly one with visa sponsorship (for any country).

You may have a somewhat better shot at things if you work for a while back home. Do what you can to get whatever sort of "international experience" you can manage and use that to make contacts that may help you get over to the US in a few years.
Cheers,
Bev
