Default Needing information about USA/UK marrage

My fiance and I are in a quandary. My son and I are moving over to the UK to live with my fiance, and we're planning on getting married. We are unsure if it would be easier to marry in the USA, and then move my son and I over... or if it would be easier to marry once my son and I move over within the 6 month period of time the UK gives?

You cannot marry a British national in the UK, unless you get a certificate of approval from the Home Office, which may take up to 3 months to issue. In any case, you cannot extend your stay in the UK after the marriage, since you would have entered under a non-immigrant category, in other words, as a tourist. I would recommend registering the marriage in your state and applying for a visa as a partner of a British national. Mind that you would have to provide evidence of your relationship (marriage certificate, photos, calls, bills in joint names) and evidence your partner's income sufficient to support both of you.
