Does hubby need a job if sponsered?

My brother in law is sponsoring us to move to California with him, but, is it essential for hubby to have a job to goto over there or can he wait till we're there? Thanks!

We are on the same sheet of paper? Your brother in law can be the sponsor on Affidavit of Support but he cannot sponsor a Green Card. Your sister as US citizen can sponsor you/husband as immediate family member.

To answer your question - he does not have to have a job lined up prior to moving to the US.
