Need info re: MAUI living expenses

Currently family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children)
US citizens, living in Florida,\
considering a move to Maui. Wondering about the school situation for our children as well as cost of living there...

It is our understanding that living somewhat "out" in Maui is less expensive living. We are between a lower middle class and
upper lower class if that makes any sense.

Any tips/ideas/suggestions?
