Default Field Hockey in America?

Hi, I've got a transfer from my work to San Diego for 2 years with my husband and 2 year old daughter. To help settle in we plan to join some clubs. We currently both play field hockey and I'm wondering if there is much around San Diego area for field Hockey? I currently play the top grade of hockey in my State, so hoping for more than a hit and giggle if possible, but I'll take what i can get!!!

From what I can tell, women's hockey seems to be a bit more around than men's but looking for any info.

Google is your friend in this case. San Diego is spread out so please consider your travel time.

Sorry should have mentioned, I have googled but it's a bit hard to tell the sort of comp they are, ie. social or competitive. or which clubs have a good level.

I'll be in Sorrento Valley. Just looking to see if anyone happens to know before I started randomly emailing clubs...

Why do you not start with the US Field Hockey Association?

I tried to find a club when I came to LA 3 years ago and went through the USFHA but found when I got here that distance was an issue - I wasn't prepared to drive 3 hrs for a game
Find out where you are living and then go to the federation once you have a zip code.
FYI, there is a CAL Cup every year - I played in the tournament 2010 and it had 5000 attendees! Massive compared to what I was used to the south east England!!
