hmm perhaps I said that wrong - the recruitment firm pays you. The school pays them the entire amount, the recruitment firm then pays you a lower amount. the pay you get from the recruitment firm can be up to 1/3 lower than if you got the job being your own agent.
Of course, you wouldn't pay them. but they don't pay your airfare/relocation costs/etc either.

And yeah, got a UK passport so that was easily sorted.

As for the teaching qualification, It is a post graduate certificate, but I'd be a Non-Qualified Teacher, but all that requires is a steady job in a school who'd be willin to sponsor me... anytime in the next 4 years. since I plan to take long-term contracts or a permanent job I don't think it'll be a problem.
