I've got an Australian teaching qualification but no experience... but I want to get on with life already - which doesn't happen living out in the middle of nowhere.

So, do I sign up with a recruitment firm? apparently they can take up to 1/3 of your pay! but it'd mean I'd have a job lined up when I go over there..

Also I'm planning on living in West London.. but do I do supply teaching, or something long-term or permanent?

Ah, decisions decisions... advice appreciated!
You will need to check whether your Australian teaching qualification is acceptable. All the teacher's in the UK need a generic/specific teaching qualification. There was a cut-off date when they said you would need this qualification before being employed - not sure if it has been reached yet, but I think it was this year. It is known as the Post-Graduate Certificate in Education.

I hope this helps a little
