The short answer is that all the UKBA wants to know regarding accommodations for successful visa applicants is that they have sufficient funds (per the area they say they are going to be living).
They understand that you are arriving without accommodations, they just want to know you can afford rents or property purchases. If you can, that part of the application shouldn't worry you any longer.
Include some print-outs from the estate agent's site showing the properties you are mulling with your supporting documents.
Book your travel lodge rooms and include that information with your application.
