Settlement visa help
I kind of am looking for advice on my situation. So my husband I have been married since May 2nd 2008. He's a british citizen, and I'm an american citizen. I've visited England twice on a visitor visa. The first time when we first met in May 2nd of 2007, and I stayed for under six months the first time (i never overstayed - i left on time). In between my second visit to the uk, we got married here in Las Vegas on May 2nd 2008. Shortly after in June of 2008 we went back to england for a total of 3 months (once again i left on time). We both came back to the usa together because I found out I was pregnant.
March 14th 2009 i gave birth to our daughter. Ever since we came back (up until a couple days ago [january 3rd 2012] my husband flew back to england on his own). But until he left we've been living in the usa & I've been the solo income earner ever since. I work full time, he was on our apartment lease, etc. He really wanted to move back home, and I really want to join him.
I've already registered our daughters birth in the uk, and she has her uk passport (still hasn't been yet though). I was hoping this would make a few steps just that much easier.
Sorry I'm so detailed, I just wanted to give as much info for the best help. Anyway..
So my husband left a couple of days ago to try and get a job secured before we get there. But it's only been a couple days, and we're really hoping to get me approved asap so we can be together again. This is where my main concern is, how are we going to show proof of financial support? I have about $2,000 left over after I pay for the visa, and I have someone that is willing to offer me a job part time for when I arrive (once I have a visa that is). Would a letter written from them be enough? My mother has also offered to get a notarized letter stating that she'll send me $300 a week until my husband finds a job too.
Is this enough proof? If so what do I send in? If not, any advice on what I can do at this point?! We're really wanting to reunite before my daughters 3rd birthday in March. I plan on paying for the expedited service as well.
.. Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it! It's so heartbreaking being apart from my husband. ):
