Why do not you call DIAC and SA govt authorities and check the possibility / legality of the same ?

BTW , Did you attended any of the info sessions mentioned on the SA site

Information Sessions :: Make The Move

I assume all such questions should be answered in these sessions.

Thanks,

Hi Ajay,

This is an ancient post. Anyway I have learnt that this is not possible but that the visa can change from a 475 to a 457. For PR one has to stay for 02 years and no shortcuts to that. And once you are here you will understand that the govt right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing. While this is fine for military secrets its really frustrating when one has spent ages on the phone, on international calls, and no one at DIAC or any of the government authorities are really aware of the basic rules. If you even go to them directly even then they are not really aware of the rules.

However there is an info session held by the Govt from time to time and in that i found out that a 475 visa can go out of Aus for 28 days and the visa will still be valid. And from the time of landing into the country one can share houses for 90 days after which rent has to be taken compulsorily in the primary applicant's name.

Warm Regards,

DS
