I was given a booklet to take with me "Personal Deposit Accounts Fees and Features". I also visited the Citizens Bank website and could not find any information concerning international banking fees and charges.

I'm directing these comments re Mexican ATM's but the booklet just lists the fees and charges as "International Services". CB (Citizens Bank) charge for ATM use is US$2.00 per transaction. There is also a 1% ATM charge for cash withdrawals and a US$3.00 fee for currency exchange. I could not find any information concerning the exchange rates for withdrawing cash from an ATM in MXN pesos rather than US$. This lack of information and rather onerous charges and fees did not make me a happy Citizens Bank customer for international money transactions!

What are the fees for using an ATM?

Bank of America customers can withdraw cash with their Bank of America Check Card or ATM Card without a fee at nearly 13,000 Bank of America ATMs in the United States and at over 12,000 international ATMs operated by members of the Global ATM Alliance. Bank of America may assess a fee for some transactions performed at ATMs operated by others and the ATM operator may charge an additional fee for cash withdrawals.
