One last question,

If I was issued the marriage visitor visa can I enter the UK without using the marriage visitor visa i.e. on the visa waiver program, or do I have to use the marriage visitor visa if its in my passport?

Thanks again
If your MV visa is valid, then you must use it to enter UK. You have no choice in this, as the immigration officer seeing your visa will automatically stamp it to activate it, giving you leave to enter as a marriage visitor.
