I work at Sophia Antipolis. I know it has been called the Silicon valley of Europe but that is a bit of an exaggeration. There is only really one major MNC which is Amadeus. There are many smaller companies and research units. There are also small outposts for MNCs such as Microsoft, HP and Cisco. If you check the French jobsites you will see positions available there. Most contract work is through the French Societes de Services. However some UK consultancies have a foot in the door.
