The "ednrd" system doesn't seem to be functional. I've found a pdf form for a visit visa on the internet, but not sure if it's current. It also requires the applicant's signature on it, which is somewhat tricky for an application lodged in Dubai prior to her arrival!
I'm also struggling to find where to go (the map on the DNRD website is a broken link), what to take, and to find out how long it will take to process!
Does anyone having any experience with such matters care to point me in the right direction.
Most grateful in anticipation!!
PS I also want to get an e-gate card for me and the mrs - can I get these at the same location when I lodge the visa application?
If your mother in law is flying Emirates then you can sort out the visa through them. Go to their office at DNATA on SZR near to the Metropolitan Hotel. If not Emirates then you are probably stuck with dealing with immigration yourself. Might be easier to just set aside a few hours and camp out in the immigration dept til its sorted.
You can sort out e-gate cards at DNATA or immigration at the same time.
