Question Norway? US citizen

Hi, I am new around here. I have been offered a job in Norway, maybe. I say that as the person who wants to hire me is currently looking at my "work" and then after reaching a decision will either hire me or not. I love Norway and I have been there countless times. My question to you wise people of this forum, if I do not get this job is it too risky to go and search for work there? Of course not staying longer than three months to find work? Depending on who I talk to, they either say, it is better to have the job before even getting there or you should only try finding a job in person. I'm in my twenties and I have a degree and savings to support myself during this time since I know how expensive Norway is compared to the U.S. My parents of course, think I am nuts and I will fail.

Any support or help would be very great. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

By the way, I have been learning Norwegian for some years and I speak other languages other than English, just in case this helps my case.
