I have dollars because that's what my retirement money comes in. I get enough changed for a week or two of expenses or for the length of time I am going to be in the country, whichever is shorter. I'm a budget traveler so it really isn't that much cash to have.

I thought you meant where do you carry your money? I keep my day's money in my wallet in my purse, extra in a change purse zipped into an inside pocket of my purse, and everything else in a moneybelt or neck pouch.
