Hello Everyone,

Found this forum a while back, only registered recently. I'm considering moving to Dubai but would love to have some suggestions. I grew up and went to school in RAK and my parents have been working there for the past 30 years but I never found the UAE an attractive place to work because of the blatant racism and pathetic salaries given to Indians, yes I'm of Indian origin. After my school,I did my 1st degree in India and then went to Dundee in Scotland to do my MBA(Marketing) and a further PG Diploma in Entrepreneurship. I tried my hand at setting up business in Scotland and I also stood for local elections. I loved the UK especially Scotland but my business degree or a management job did not quite make the mark to qualify for a work permit as it was not a 'specialised skill' job. At the moment I'm in New Delhi but I'm considering moving to Dubai if I get an opportunity to work in a company where I will be judged by the merits of my potential & work as well as the quality of my character rather than the color of my skin and the passport I hold.
