Hi We had the same thing we had been over on holiday to see if my husband liked it he is a carpenter in the family business over 10 years, since he left school never did his formal training and we were just about to submit the tra when it changed. We did not know what to do so after many months of searching we got this companys name and contacted them they are call australian construction services ( Acts) for short what they do is they come out and assess you on site and you have to gather all docs showing you have 4 plus years in the same trade now it does cost £3500 sterling but at the end if you are sucessful you get your australian qualification which in turn you can apply through path way E.
