So far there is only speculation about the way the new Pathway D will work (for example, it has been suggested that possibly applicants will be given the option of demonstrating their skills through a skill-testing arrangement), but I will post up more concrete info as soon as it comes to hand.
Hi,

We are very interested to know how the new 'pathway D' pans out, as we have just decided to take the big step of moving to Australia, having done heaps of research. I went online to start the ball rolling (paper work wise) and hit our first (pretty hard) brick wall...

My husband is a self employed roofer, he learnt his trade through working for another company & learning from the boss, on an informal training, he has now owned his own successful roofing company for 5 years.

We are really hoping that this isnt going to ruin our dreams... We had no idea that pathway D had been taken away in September (if im honest I had no idea about 'pathways' at all, we just thought Australia needed skilled roofers & that is what my husband is) We have 2 children aged 15 & 5 years, we are aged 32 & 30 & thankfully in good health, no problems with record checks etc..

I suppose now we just sit & wait for August 1st... (But I suppose it could be worse)

Do you have any clues about what they may do? Do you think it will be hopefull for people like us? (We hope so )

Kindest Regards,Kelly.
