Default work for legally qualified person

Hi, I need advice. Know that I must write a solicitors exam etc to be able to practise. But are the Britons negative to highly skilled people? All the legal
agencies I email, just dont reply, and I have mailed about 12.
Please advise to what I must do.
I am from South Africa, presently working as a state advocate for the prosecutors office. I do have years of experience. I dont want to write the exam, get a visum and the UK lawyers dont want expats working for them. What is your feedback please.
