Hi All, I have some basic questions about Portuguese real estate.

• Are there government taxes that you have to pay on an annual basis (or some other time schedule)?
• If yes, how do they base the tax charge (e.g., a % of the purchase price, a flat fee, other?)?
• Are there other fees imposed on home owners on an annual basis (or some other time frame basis)?
• If the property is an apartment or part of a planned community, are there community association fees?
• How do real estate agent fees work? Who pays the fee? Are the fees regulated?
• Is there some place on the internet where I can find a description of a typical real estate purchase process?
