There is a distinct difference between tax avoidence and tax evasion, check it out. It didn't use to work as the UK Revenue used to tax people living in a property owned by a UK company on the assumed rental value of the property in question.
This is now not the case, Labour ministers owning villas in Tuscany might be the reason.
