Hi Amaslam,
thank you very much for the reply. The prospective marriage visa will be valid only for nine months. Then I have to apply for another kind of visa and I read that I have to be two years in Australia before I can apply for a PR. So I will need a private health insurance for those first two years. I checked some offers from international, German and some Australian insurers. I spent many hours and sleepless nights to try to compare these. FRUSTRATING !!The really important tiny things are hidden among the 20 to 50 pages of each condition of contract.
The age is not a barrier, but all the exclusions because of pre-existing ailments and waiting periods. As older as I am as higher are the premiums.
So I will go on looking for a wonder to find the right one.
