If you look at the Australian forum you'll find loads of information there. As Michelle says you need to know the rules for visas and work and there is a sticky post called "Please read..." that has links to the visa types.

If your skills are in demand you may get sponsorship but most people move to Oz without a job and get one once they arrive. In that same post there is a link to check whether your skills are in demand in Oz.

If you don't get sponsorship and try the skilled independent visa (which is the one we cam in on) it can take up to 2 years to get in - but it is worth it!
