Hi Everyone,

Me and my partner are going to be trying to move to Dubai in September, and are looking for any advice anyone may have for us. I'm an ITIL Cert IT Service Desk Manager for a large call center outsourcer, and my partner is a Manager in a Sales/Retentions call center for Virgin. We currently earn about 60k (before tax). A few questions we have are:

* Are the salaries similar, but obviously without tax? (not to mention the UK tax burden)
*What is the best place or way to start applying for jobs, i.e. going through recruitment agencies, or hitting the websites?
*How easy would it be to come out for a week, and hit the interviews hard? Or would it be better to try and get interviews based in the UK before we up and go?
*Would you recommend renting or buying accommodation? I hear that the return on investments can be very high for buying, but is it fraught with danger/risk? We do have a substantial deposit to put down. If we were to buy, is it easy enough to get a mortgage in Dubai, or are the (currently saturated) uk mortgage markets better to look at?

I know this is a lot of questions. I've seen a lot of advice, and I know about the illegal status of moving to this country with my non married partner, but the advice seems to be all over the place.

Any help anyone could give us would be much appreciated!
