If your employer has begun the application process for your visa (which they should have done long ago) then leaving your employer, all financial and contractual obligations aside, will involve either canceling your visa or transferring it from the old employer to the new one. Canceling the visa will almost always involve a 6 month ban from work. Transferring it means that your old employer has to be willing to allow you to go to the new company.
