Since we were moving over from the UK permanently we had already set up bank accounts in Australia and transferred most of our money when we moved.
If you look in the "Please read...." post that has links to property websites so that you can see the rental prices of what you are looking to rent. That may also say what the rental bond will be - if not assume at least 1 months rent.
If you check out
Used Cars - New Cars - Search New & Used Cars For Sale - carsales.com.au that will give you idea of car prices where you are moving to. In South Australia the price on the car is not the "on the road" price since there is stamp duty and delivery on top. This may be the case where you are moving to - I'm not sure. You may not get a credit card immediately (it depends on the bank and your job situation) so you may have to pay for the car in cash (unless you have transferred money over to a bank account).
