Hi,
I'm from the US and here the Aussies drive on the left (they also prefer if everyone else drives on the left here too

). It didn't take long to get used to it. After 14 years of driving on the right, I managed immediately, felt more comfortable after a few days, and after about two weeks it felt intuitive.
The main difference is that the wipers and the turn signals are reversed on the wheel, so the first time I tried to signal a left turn, I turned on my windshield wipers LOL That takes a bit of getting used to.
We also bought an automatic which takes all the sting out of shifting gears with the left hand, and the foot pedals are in the same position; they're not reversed.
As for bringing over a car, it seems like overkill unless you have something really special like a '64 Corvette or something. Kaz brought her special car over; she can advise. If you're driving around in a Camry, sell the thing and buy one here! It'll be much much cheaper
