We are in regional South Australia because we fell in love with it. We rarely get a frost - last winter (we arrived in July) had a couple of frosts and they were gone by 9am. The summer that is just finishing had some unusually hot temperatures up to 40 degrees C, which is unusual. Adelaide actually had a heat wave for about 12 days.
South Australia tends to be warmer than Tasmania and Victoria, and where we are doesn't have the water problems of Victoria or other parts of South Australia. Although we do get all 4 seasons, we don't get them in the one day like Melbourne
It's quite strange at the moment since the bottle brush is flowering again, so the honey eater birds are in it again, and there are crocuses flowering, and the lawns need cutting since we've had some rain, so it feels like Spring to me but it's actually Autumn!

Karen
