Have you lived in Vegas all your life? We are from NY and its finally SPRING here, but still a bit chilly, looking forward to the warmer weather in Vegas.

I have one question. When looking at Villas, the price listed usually in Dirham's, and do they list for one months rent? I understand that you can't purchase property as an Expat. Is this true?
Does anyone know the average costs are for a decent Villa? do they come furnished? Any help would be appreciated.

Re villas...if renting you are generally required to pay 1 YEAR up front.
You may find serviced appartments that charge monthly, but it can be an expensive way to live (OK for the short term)

As an expat, you can purchase properties here...but only i certain areas. (the Springs, Arabian Ranches, and some of the new developments)

The costs vary from villa to villa (location, size etc) TO RENT-PER YEAR
As a very rough guide...
a 3 bed in AR may rent for 260,000 dhs +
3 bed in Springs 240,000 dhs +
3 bed Meadows 300,000 dhs +
3 bed Al Barsha 350,000 dhs +
3 bed Green Community 280,000 dhs +
3 bed Mirdiff 180,000 dhs +
3 bed Palm Jumeriah 400,000 dhs +
3 bed Lakes 240,000 dhs +

For villas to buy, again prices will vary from area to area (at least 2.5 million +)
Some villas are available to rent fully furnished, but again, that costs a little more.

Hope this helps a little
